Why not skip the expensive shakes, and just stay in that 1600 calorie range?

Shakes don't teach you how to handle your food. There's nothing wrong with them, but they don't help you address the cause of your weight gain in the first place. 800 calories of shakes do not provide any weight loss advantage over 800 calories of balanced, proper whole food nutrition, and hav ea whole lot less of a variety. I don't want to drink my meals. I like things like steak and chicken, broccoli and peas!

I agree 100% with Unident. If you're already cutting calories, eating a healthy diet and exercising, what do you need the shakes for?

I have to wonder ... what will you do "after" this?

Why not do that now?

How expensive is this programme, compared to just doing whatever you plan to do on week 13 from now onwards?

These meal replacement programmes are not supported by Spark and most of its members.

I'm trying a 12 week program with my Dr. It replaces 2 meals with a UltraMeal shake. I was told I can add fruit to my shake. Then I'm to have 2 snacks and one meal, staying within a 1600 calorie range. Has anyone else used this program? How'd it go? They also stress exercise, stress-reduction and Mediterrean diet choices. I also see someone once a week to check progress. Thanks everyone and all the best in your Get Healthy endeavors!
