I cant afford to follow the nutrition plan to the letter. I get some of the foods and then I just make healthier choices when choosing the rest.

How's Insanity going for you? I just started a few days ago and I'm pretty excited about the program so far.
Hey, did you ever find a workaround for the nutrition plan? I came across a website put out by the USDA the other day that might be helpful. It's how to eat healthy and stay on a budget. www.choosemyplate.gov/healthy-eating-on-bu dget.html Using this guide, you might be able to find the right balance of foods to stay within the calories recommended in the Elite plan.

By entering your fitness goals here on SP, and following the range generated. Enter an approximate weekly calorie burn, an appropriate-for-your-size weight loss goal, and SP will do the rest.
Then focus on meeting your goals, and eating a balanced diet. YOu don't need a fancy eating plan. :) As long as you have complex carbs, protein, fat, and your other macronutrients, you'll be fine.
I just started Insanity, week 1 down and I love it! I've tried Turbo Jam and Yoga Booty Ballet and Insanity is my favorite so far. I still can't make it through a whole dvd without taking a lot of breaks but even with all the breaks, I can still see and feel the difference! I like being pushed to my limit. However, I am looking at the nutrition plan and there is no way I can afford to follow it! There are so many ingredients and with 3 kids and a husband, we are used to very simple meals to keep costs low.How can I be sure I'm getting the nutrition I need to get through this program without breaking the bank?
