If I read this correctly, you are a) fasting and b) having your period..... And you are concerned or surprised that you are having cravings??!! Doesn't surprise me at all!
My suggestion would be that if you really feel a day of fasting helps you somehow, don't do it when you are also having your period....There are many hormone swings when we go through our menstrual cycles. Your body can only handle so much at once after all! You will likely be able to focus much better on the fasting process and probably avoid these "cravings" that make you feel you need immediate help....
One of the interesting things about Spark to me is that folks from many places /many cultures use the site. Where I am from, I've certainly never had a Doctor tell me I need to have a "discharge" day to "clean my organism".... ??!! That's a concept which doesn't exist in my medical upbringing..... (As far as I know, my liver, my kidneys and my colon are working 7days a week/365 days a year!)

If you're craving chips, chances are your body is wanting salt. If it's a day you're not eating but just drinking, try coconut water or a low-sugar electrolyte drink.
When I'm craving chips, I soak chickpeas in vinegar for 30 - 90 min, then roast them in the oven in olive oil and sea salt until they're crispy. Salt and vinegar chickpeas for the win.
Or if I'm lazy, I slice up a sweet potato and fry it in a non-stick skillet until brown and crispy and then add salt.
I'm off the mind that you never want to ignore your body's cravings - just try to get to the root of the craving and then replace with a healthier food.

Well, in order to live healthy (which is my choice, not the opinion of somebody else), I have and want to stop eating white bread, cheese, butter, pancakes and similar meals and foods. And the last time I ate junk/unhealthy food was about a month - a month and a half ago.
So I am looking for something healthy that I could replace what I'm craving for.

A grilled cheese sandwich doesn't sound like junk to me. How about making half a sandwich and enjoying it slowly? That would leave room for other foods if the calories are a concern. What is it about the grilled cheese that worries you?
You might be needing more carbohydrate or fat at the moment, for whatever reason, since you seem to be cravings things with both. Instead of fighting the craving, maybe you should use it as a way to reset the portion size you need to feel satisfied.

My height is 1.64 meters which is I think 5'4'', but 110 is what I used to weight before I gained weight, so I just want to get back to it. By the way, I'm not starving myself, everyday I eat 5 times 2 hours apart, small portions of various healthy foods. It's just one day a week that I dedicate to cleaning my organism. But thanks for opinions. :)

Clueless- I don't understand where you get the idea that 110 lbs can't be healthy for women taller than 5 ft. I'm 5 ft 4 inches and my healthy and normal, just-right (not skinny) weight in my 20s and 30s was 110 lbs. If my weight went below that (e.g., during illness), on recovery I would always get very hungry and gain until I was back to 110 and then it would stay there. Obviously that was my normal set point. No one would have called me thin , either.

I'm not sure how to advise you, but I've read that the first bite should be savoured, completely, slowly, because you then can tell yourself every other bite will taste similar, but not as great.
I do agree with the other response, though. Be careful how you treat yourself, and don't be starving yourself in favor of some photoshopped, airbrushed magazine image, or starved models.

If you don't mind my asking...how tall are you?
I saw your ticker that you weigh 148, and you want to lose 37, that would put you at 111. And for that to be a healthy weight you would have to be between 4'10" and 5'.
You didn't look that short, and if you are not that short, please, please don't let society convince you that you have to weigh between 110-115. It's better to be a strong 120 than a starved 110.
As for one day a week eating nothing...well, it doesn't sound like a good idea to me, but then again, fasting is supposed to be good for you so go for it.
Now, onto period advice. Drink lotsa water. That always helps me. Distract yourself with exercise, I find yoga extremely relaxing during my period, 2 minutes in extended child's pose and my cravings are usually gone. If you simply MUST HAVE sour cream and onion pringles (my downfall during the time of the month) then eat 2, and then do another 5 minutes of some exercise and by then the craving is usually gone.

So I'm trying to get back on healthy lifestyle, you know no junk food or treats. But I have my period, and at the moment I am craving for something like chips, grilled cheese sandwich or fries, and I know that I shouldn't and I can't if I want to see results faster. So could you give me some advice on how to handle this craving, or maybe how to replace what I am craving for with healthier choices. By the way, once a week I have a discharge day (when I don't eat anything, only drink water and/or green tea, my doctor said it would help to clean my organism faster), and so today is my discharge day.
