Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!

Welcome to Sparkpeople!

I want to congratulate you on making this journey. I began my own journey a few years ago and though my pace has been slow I have lost over 100 pounds! You can have success too!

This is a great place to get healthy! There are so many tools, resources, and encouraging people to help you on your journey to "Health & Fitness". Be sure to poke around the site and try the nutrition and fitness trackers, Spark Recipes, Daily Spark, health articles, and secrets.

Joining a team will help you meet like-minded people that share similar life situations or goals. You can join mine to start. I share many helpful tips, recipes and insights from my own journey so you too can benefit. The DAILY CHAT section has lots of helps.

Welcome to SparkPeople. We are so glad to have you here with us. This is a good place. Yes it helps but we have to work on getting healthy every day. Posting helps keep you accountable not only for your self but to others as well. I am glad to meet you.

Hello and welcome to the Sp family this is an amazing site and yes it has helped thousand of us stay on task and stay focus on our goals and I'm sure it will also help you....I completely agree with the previous poster start with making your spark page first and go from there take advantage of all the site has to offer....don't be afraid to ask question either good luck to you on meeting your fitness goals

Hi and welcome. So glad you are here to make a change! Get familiar with everything here, make a sparkpage and join some teams. Teams are good for motivation, support and accountability. Use the team search bar and type in things like your interests/hobbies and/or maybe some health problems/risks you may have, and/or type in the first number of your age followed by a 0 and something. Example - "30 something", good luck on your journey.

This is my second day and I feel motivated by SparkPeople - wish I would have found it months ago. Has it helped others stay on task ? I am optimistically emoticon
