I'm tall, large build, long torso, big chest, very muscular. I think that 190 was my lowest adult weight. I was 19 years old the last time I weighed 190.

My ideal measurements would be more important as I don't have an ideal weight!

90 or 120. Whatever happens first

I'm more concerned about body fat % than weight. Ideally I'd like about 18% body fat with some decent muscle mass. :)

Ideally, I'd like to weigh between 115 and 120, but that's not going to happen, and I'm OK with that. I am at 134 right now, and I'd like to drop 10 or 12 more. :)

I joined SP at 203 lbs. and wasn't sure what to put in as a GW. I went with 129 which was in healthy BMI range for me at 5' 3". Gradually after working at it for some time, I did get there and then lost another 11 pounds by continuing the same exercise & eating healthy. I've been maintaining at around 118 for about 9 months now. That's probably ideal for me because I feel really good, it's still within healthy BMI, and oh, yeah, DH said don't lose any more.

When I asked my doctor almost a year ago what my ideal weight should be, she sent a letter that my BMI should be between 19-15. That BMI would correspond between the weight of 110-140 pounds. I'm shooting for 140#. I am exercising 5 days a week and I know I'm doing well. What I am really excited about is I'm getting rid of those horrible "love handles" and couldn't be more pleased. I just want to feel good, be healthy, have a strong heart, & not worry about the number on the scale. I have never had a trim waist and it's getting there. This is what makes me get that exercise done because the reward is GREAT!

According to the charts anything over 189 for me is overweight, but I'd be happy at 200.

I want to get to 160, but even 170 would be fine also. As long as I am healthy and feel good.

for me it's more about being healthy than a number on the scales or a size on a pair of pants. my goal is to build serious muscles and to get in the best shape of my life.

I'm 5'11" and I would love to weigh 160
the slimmest I've ever been was 170 and I had family telling me I was fat.
Please note that Lindsay Vonn is 5'10" and weighs 160 ... and looks amazing
If I knew then what I know now...I would have had choice words for those people

I blogged this yesterday!

174,203 Ways to Measure Health (Besides the Scale)

"It’s hard to find hard-and-fast statistics on this one, but we’re pretty sure that most U.S. households have at least one bathroom scale. One Canadian study reports that 40% of people weigh themselves daily, and another reports that a full 75% of regular scale-users are women. That’s millions of bare feet stepping cautiously onto millions of scales each and every morning, leaving millions of people to judge their personal worth by that digital number staring accusingly back at them. And regardless of how they actually feel, the majority of those people will be crushed, jaded, frustrated, embarrassed, angry, and dejected when they step back off; their sense of self-worth skewed by what we believe is a mostly useless measure of progress.">

I am 4'11 1/2" (that half an inch counts when you're short haha) and so my ideal weight would be 125lbs

I'm 5'6" and would like to get down to around 147lb, but actually anything with a healthy BMI will be wonderful!

I am 5' 2" and want to be @ 120 #. I was always @ 108 # until after my 5th child. That was too thin/ fragile for me. Currently, @ 136 #.

I think the "recommendations" for my height is supposed to be between 100-130 pounds. That feels maybe a bit too low to me... but I don't know, because I can't remember ever having been there, and I'm still a long way from it!

I'm aiming for about 150, I think. I'm 5'1", and I'm 56. I have no desire to look 20-ish, and I think some curviness is actually nice on women.
The difficult part for me right now is that I've lost so much weight that I have a lot of tissue hanging around which isn't really "me" anymore. I'm told that the total body lift which is a probable medical necessity at the end of this will probably remove about 30 pounds of that "extra baggage". So, when I lose down to about 180, I'll start thinking about what final weight might be appropriate. Hard to do, when you have to look *around* all the stuff that will be removed.

Is that ideal?
Heck. I don't know!

I am not sure if my weight is ideal, but I am happy with where I am now. I think I look good. I know I feel better than I have in a very long time, and that is key. Right now I am just trying to maintain my present weight and stay healthy. Oh yes, I am at 140 emoticon

"How healthy I am is much more important to me then a number on the scale."

Now THAT is a great and healthy attitude!

A lot of people could, and should, think long and hard about that......

I'm 5'2". My ideal weight is 95 lbs. I have to do more weight lifting, I am getting a little fluffy.

2/23/14 2:54 A

I would say a very different 95-100lbs. I'm frequently in the 90s , but usually have lost muscle and not fat and manage to look thick at a ridiculously low weight. Says a lot about numbers in weight as opposed to ratios and percentages. I guess I'm not so much looking for an ideal weight as an ideal composition.

2/23/14 1:25 A

135 sounds like heaven to me. It's a long way from 254 but even further from the 352 where I started. One pound at a time is slow, but so far steady and very satisfying.

I don't know what I'm suppose to be at (plan on asking the doctor when I see her), but I would be happy at about 140-150. I have never been that light.
