Sorry to hear about your loss. You are right, no one wants that phone call at any time of day or night. Stay strong.

I had to help my hubby with all the arrangements because his brother didnt want anything to do with it. i think that if anything happened to him then my hubby and I would have to do his too but the way I see it my hubby is the only son left now from his family.

God bless you and your family. At 76, I know well the vulnerability that we all face. We just buried my wife's sister but I can only imagine what you are going through.

I have a great book written by Rev Schuller titled, "Tough Times Never Last, but Tough People do." I recommend it.

LOL, you are not nosy sweetie. My book is a Poetry Book and it is on my Spark Page. IT is Titled Love of Life & Nature. I started writing the poems 6 years ago when I went back to school. Its a collection of poems that reflects how I see life and nature. I am also working on a new book titled Growing Up and it will be done in the next few months because I am still writing it. I hope to have my poetry book sell soon. it is available on estore and and as soon as I get the money ahead it will be available in bookstores in the US as well.

i think your poem is precious and says what you feel from your heart. I'm sure there wasn't a dry eye in the house when it was read. God has truly given you a talent. And you wrote a book too? What kind of book? Sorry...i am nosey by nature!!! LOL
I have always wanted to write a book but don't know how to start. My thoughts get so scattered!!! Good luck with that too.
oh by the way....I am stoked today.....1st week weigh in and I lost 5 lbs. Pretty proud of myself.
Have a great rest of the weekend!!!!

AWWWW Thank you sweetie,,I am glad I inspire someone. I am happy right now because I just sent my book in for another review and all i have to do now is wait until I can get the money to order the copy for me to review and then it will be ready to order. here is the poem I read on Thursday

Heavenly Angel

You were here once
But now you are gone
To gods house where you belong
We all have a guardian angel
Watching over us
And now you are one
When god sends one
Of his children down
To earth to take you
He knows its time to come home
To heaven you go
I feel your spirit near me
And you will be in our hearts
Forever and eternity

I hope you like this poem because it is something close to my heart.

Thanks sweetie, My hubby and I made it through the funeral and I made it through reading one of my poems that I wrote for her. I know now that she is finally at peace. She didn't die from natural causes. It was an accidental death that took her life.

I will always remember my mother in law as a lady who enjoyed taking the time to take her grandchildren shopping with her. She was always baking for her friends and family too. She lived a full and healthy life up until the 28 of october when she fell. She never made it out of the hospital. I will miss her because we finally got to really know each other and enjoyed talking to each other on the phone

what we DO speaks volumes. I am sure she knew how much you loved her by your actions. Insensitive people think that you have to speak words,,, you don;t the actions speak for them selves.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I lost both of my parents 4 years ago. They both passed a month apart. Don't be so hard on yourself about not telling your mother-in-law how much you loved showed her every day how much you loved her and that is much better than telling her. My dad was not a very verbally demonstrative man but I knew how much he loved me every single day. Be kind to yourself - not just this week - but over the next year. The grieving process is unpredictable. It is an emotional and physical process. Take care of yourself while you move through it.

WOW, how sad that you never told her how much you loved her when she was alive. emoticon Do enjoy the week of CELEBRATING her life. I'm sure that is what she would have wanted everyone to do. emoticon

It's going to be a sad week for me and my family because I got the call no one every wants to get at 4:05 in the morning. I had posted earlier that my mother in law wasn't good and now she has left us. She died this morning and now my family and I have to get things ready for the funeral. I will be away from SparkPeople for the next week because I will be dealing with the funeral. It's going to be hard because I was the only one who seen her after she died and people say that you can not feel the family members spirit after they have died but I can and I could feel her in the hospital room with me. I loved her so much and I never had the chance to tell her when she was a live, I hope you all understand. I will pop in from time to time to see how everything is going and I will miss you all

So please pray for me and I will return in 1 week.,
