What helps me when I am tired is taking liquid B12 vitamin and an iron supplement.

It could just be psychological.

I find that when I tend to crash and burn ie. tired; I need to eat more protein....a good protein shake etc. works wonders right after you exercise.

Maybe ask your doctor?

Good for you or breaking a habit you didn't like.

I went through a period where I was exhausted and increasing my caffeine and sugar etc just to stay awake. I could fall asleep sitting at my desk. I talked to my doctor and she checked my thyroid, vitamin and iron levels. My thyroid was fine but my iron stores were non existent, my D and B levels were really low as was my DHEA. With supplements, everything is now normal and I have lots of energy.

If you can, it would be worth it to check. My doc said a lot o us use caffeine and sugar to fill in for the missing nutrients.

When I got like that.....I would fall asleep reading, it turned out to be not enough protein.

I am already drinking between 9-12 cups of water a day...I was told if I drink too much it could mess with my electrolites. So, I don't think I should add any more water. But, I have been better the last couple days.

Keep at it and try upping your water intake, that's helped me a lot. Crystal light or tea doesn't help but straight water helps a lot!

I agree that at first it might be tough but after a few weeks you should feel much, much better! Keep at it!

Yeah, I know my body needs to get used to it, I guess I just don't remember it being this hard last time. Maybe it was and I just forgot.

Your body just has to get used to your new healthy life style.

how long has it been and did you quit cold turkey. If its only been a couple of days, it probably just your body adjusting. I know when I went off sugar last year I was really "dying" the first week.

if its been longer then maybe add some vitamin Bs and D supplements. If you have other symptoms, your thyroid might be low

I am sure it will level out eventually, but ever since I stopped drinking caffeine and started eating right and being active, I am sooooo tired. I suppose it makes sense that if you take away a stimulant and use less energy and consume more that I would be tired. But, I don't remember it being like this last year when I lost 30 lbs. Anyone else, suggestions?
