It sounds like you've made a good start but not fully committed. It's a really slow process. Just trust me that you need to just go through the motions and it will happen for you. Track your food; up your exercise; try to make good nutrition choices and if you go off track once in awhile it's not a disaster. Just get back to your routine as soon as possible. We are all only human and you really have to cut yourself some track. It sounds like you really want this. Embrace your new plan and committ to it. I'm down 35 lbs since I started a year and a half ago and it feels great. Sometimes it seems like it's 2 steps forward and 1 step back, or a step or 2 backward and then a step or two forward. The important thing is keeping the goal in sight. It's a wonderful thing to embrace "YOU' and make yourself better. Then the compliments start coming and you start believing. This is a great site. Lots of great teams to join. Lots of expert advice on lifestyle, nutrition, motivation. But the truly great thing is the great support you'll find from others who are on their own journeys of self-improvemnt. Good luck to you! There are lots of other topics here on the message boards - did you walk today; login points; how many glasses of water, etc.; there's games and lots of Challenges; just jump in and take part and you'll be hooked like me!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hey there, I was just wondering if anyone feels, or has felt this way before and can give me some advice? I'm ready to lose weight and have made lots of healthy changes to my diet/lifestyle. Exercising and eating better. I saw a dietician as well. then i sprained my ankle and I couldn't- or should I say didn't- keep up with all the positives I was doing, spiraled into full negative. Felt bad I couldn't exercise and so I ate poorly.. I haven't been consistent with my weight loss. I have trouble following through when it gets hard! I'll eat great for (the most) a few weeks, then revert back to bad eating habits. Sometimes I think "oh I've lost some weight, i can eat a bit of this" . I think maybe it's because I might subconsciously not embrace my eating habits/lifestyle when I eat healthy as being real to me... because eating poorly and not exercising has become my reality for so long, i FEEL like a different person now. I think about myself different and subconsciously I think I'm feeling different when I'm "dieting"(for lack of a better word) because I've changed. How do I not only change my eating habits and lifestyle, but my mind and beliefs as well? How do I change , what should I do?
Thanks. And please if this isn't the right place to post a long message like this, can someone tell me where for next time? I'm realizing I will probably need more support..
Thanks again. God bless.
