Thanks dragon. I was just wondering if someone was going to say that the sugar (aka where all the calories in this are coming from) gets absorbed into the chicken leaving only waterish juice behind. I'll eyeball it because it really is only a little bit that sticks to the chicken. Thanks!

(And bonus, dropping 75% of that frees up enough carbs to splurge on a couple chips with the fruit salsa haha)

Measure the marinade before you put the meat in. Make a note of that. Marinate the meat, then when you pull it out, measure the remaining marinade.

The difference is the marinade you're actually using. :)

I tend to track it as 2 tablespoons up to 1/4 cup depending on how much you use. If you want an exact count of calories...I would use the recipe calculator on spark, measure all the ingredients to get the calories per serving. But if it has only pinepple and honey...(soy sauce 0 calories) I would track 2 table spoons or 1/4 cup Pineapple and depending how much honey I would say about 1-2 tablespoon or less of honey on the tracker. As long as the majority wasn't honey.

Wondering how all of you track marinades. This one has soy sauce, honey, and pineapple juice in it so it does have a noticeable amount of calories. I put it in a bag with the chicken in the fridge for about 8 hours. Do you track the whole thing? Because probably 75% or more of the juices will stay in the bag when I take the chicken out to put on the grill.
