If it's a work day: Feed the cat, make tea, grab my workout gear and clothes for work, and hit the gym at work for 45 minutes or so. I eat breakfast after my workout, otherwise, my stomach is a mess.

Feed the cat has to be first! Then make coffee, do computer, read the paper and do the crossword. THEN, I am ready to face the day.

Up at 3:15 a.m., dress in workout clothes, take BP and sugar level, have coffee, make journal entry, read devotional calendar Bible excerpt of the day and make comments, feed cats, make lunch by then it's 4:45 and I start my workout. Whew!

My job is chaotic. I am trying to put myself at the beginning of the day. Then every one else has most of what is left. emoticon Otherwise, everyone else get all of my day, and I get what is left of me in the last hour or two. emoticon If I don't work out in the morning, it won't happen at all!

I wake up around 3:00, get online to check mail and also visit Sparks until about 4:15. That's when I get in an hour of exercise.
Then shower and coffee. I don't eat breakfast until around 7 a.m.

Oatmeal, wheat germ, cinnamon, skim milk, protein powder and whatever fruit I have on hand. Yum! It gets me going.

Some days I have to hurry to work, but I am working on getting up at 5:30 more days so I can crawl off to the gym first. I often pray on the elliptical, or do strength training. Then I shower change and go to work. By that time I have had a lot of water and usually a coffee on the way to the gym. In my bag is a healthy breakfast, lunch and snack, so I eat as a catch up on e-mails and voice mails. I like home made whole grain muffins with fat free cream cheese or plain yogurt with fresh or frozen fruit, sweetener and a little grape nuts, or a baggie of oatmeal mixed with powdered milk and dried fruit. (I mix with water and microwave at work.)

Every day is different - today it was up early, out to a community breakfast meeting, and then off to take daughter and 2 year old granddaughter to aquarium -- such fun
Often, I start with a bowl of steel cut oats with mixed berries, some espresso and then a walk or trek downstairs to the gym

Definitely NOT with alcohol!

Breakfast is usually an omelet, or farina, or a high fiber protein shake, with fresh strawberries.
