Congrats!!!! I can't imagine hitting the 50 #'s down mark ,actually I can imagine just can't wait!!!
I was so worried about getting on the scales this morning, but I do it every sat. for fear if I don't I will not hold myself accountable and guess what??? I'm down 6.2 this week for a total of 27 (my 10% goal)!!! I can't believe it!!! I keep trying on my older jeans ones I haven't gotten into since 2006 but still can't zip them!!!
So I got lots more work to do!!!

I am very excited, today I hit the 50 lb drop. I am not sure it might be even more because I stopped checking my weight at some point because I did not want to know. So that is my last record of my weight makes it "50". I am very excited. Can't wait to keep going and lose the rest. Woohoo!!! To all the others that have or are trying good luck and congratulations!

Thanks for all the encouragement everyone!

KBEHNKE81 -- I think you are absolutely correct about why folks probably had noticed but didn't want to say anything. My history is that I was always very petite and never had a weight issue until I was in my mid 40's (I weighed between 125-135 forever). Folks who knew me from my younger days never saw me heavy but the folks I work with these last 10 years only saw me heavy. They did witness one other time when I lost weight about 9 years ago and which I kept off for about 2 years. I am sure they weren't sure if they should say anything at all. Funny thing is they never knew me as a thin person other than that last attempt in which I came within 15 pounds of my goal weight. But this time I feel so differently about this weight loss.....I see it as a lifestyle and not just another diet. When they finally see me as I was all of my adult life (18 yrs plus), it will be the normal weight I should truly be......
Thanks for your insightfulness!

What an exciting accomplishment for you!!!

I think the folks who "didn't notice" actually did, but didn't quite know how to comment so that it for sure would come out as a compliment or encouragement. Especially if they didn't know that you had set out on this journey. One of my coworkers lost about 40 lb last year, but people wondered among themselves if maybe he was sick, or, given his history, thought this would be a temporary weight loss. I was new to the office and didn't know his "before" physique. Someone who did said they didn't want it to sound like she was keeping tabs on his weight if she said something. People are weird, huh!

Now that someone has finally said something to you, I predict more people will feel comfortable encouraging you. Keep up the good thing you are doing for yourself and your loved ones!!

I was just so excited to see my scale this morning and see that I broke through the 50 pound weight loss mark! I have never lost this much weight before....only half way there but know I can do this!

Also at work this week, several folks commented on my diminishing I guess they hadn't really noticed until this point. Anyway, it was great to hear the encouragement even from some of the younger folks I work with! emoticon
