Doing exercises to rid certain parts of your body of fat unfortunately doesn't work. It's called spot reduction, and our body doesn't work that way. You see, fat loss is a total body process, and where it comes off first is determined largely by the genetics we have... not the exercises we do.

This means that while ab work will strengthen your core, it'll give you a nice six pack... under the fat. The fat will stay put until it burns off over the rest of your body. Your muscles draw their energy from the bloodstream, not the surrounding fat stores, and generally, the places we tend to hold it the most prominently will be the last places we lose it.

Bridges work the back and glutes rather than the abs. Belly fat is (if it can be, some people just don't have the body type) conquered in the kitchen.

By "Hip Thrusts" do you mean laying on the floor with your knees bent and then pushing your hips up? You'd find that listed as a "Bridge" I would suspect.

Insert standard: "You can't spot reduce" message here.

hi, I am wondering i can i track hip thrusts in my fitness tracker? i am not finding it under exercises they list and i am not sure how many calories they burn so i am not sure how to track it. I got motivated again to lose weight and started watching what i ate at the beginning of the year and with just doing that i have lost roughly 15lbs. but this week i have started walking and i want to incorporate some other exercises like hip thrusts to work on my belly fat. PLEASE HELP!!!!
