I've been doing a shake in the morning - 1 scoop chocolate soy protein powder, 1 C almond milk, 1-2 Tbs. peanut butter, and about five ice cubes in a blender. Tastes pretty good and keeps me full for hours.

Kedgeree - sort of spicy rice, red peppers, onions and fish! With optional hard boiled egg to garnish. You can freeze it in breakfast size pouches. Not too heavy for breakfast and will keep you going for a while!

CALLMECARRIE wow I had no idea Kashi Go Lean had that much protein. I'll be checking that out.

I often have dinner leftovers for breakfast and our dinners are usuallu protein rich.

Cottage cheese, in a bed of spinach, sprinkled with walnuts. Add a tsp of your favorite dressing and your set.

So who says breakfast has to be breakfast-type food? You can have anything you want for breakfast - hamburger, salad with chicken, leftover chicken or turkey, even soup - the sky's the limit!

I've been eating Kashi Go Lean cereal and 3/4 c. of milk every morning. With 2% milk it gives me 20 grams of protein, 5 grams of fat and 10 grams of fiber, which makes it a breafast that keeps me full for a few hours.

I like to mix 1/2 cup of lowfat cottage cheese with a TB of almond butter and sliced banana. You can sprinkle on chia or flax seeds for extra protein.

Second the smoothie idea. I love them.

My refrigerator oatmeal is made with greek yogurt but you don't really taste the yogurt: 1/4 c. oats, 1/4 c. lowfat greek yogurt, 1 scoop whey powder (chocolate or vanilla, 1/2 c. fruit of your choice, 1/3 c. lowfat milk, 1 TB flax or chia seeds. It has about 20 g. of protein and is very delicious. (The only thing is, you have to make it overnight and chill in the refrigerator).

You could always do a smoothie protein shake--1 cup milk, 1/2 cup greek yogurt (not detectable in a smoothie), 1 scoop protein powder, 1 cup berries.

Quinoa is a good source of protein and would probably work as a good vehicle for some fruit like bananas or blueberries. Or you could ditch the idea of "breakfast food" altogether and eat a grilled chicken salad for breakfast.

I have a similar problem, I like eggs, but I burn out on them really fast as well.
But I want to get more protein into my breakfast, so I've been trying the Slim-Fast, high protein shakes. They are 20 grams of protein, with 2 grams of carbs, and 180 calories. I really like the vanilla. I also munch string cheese and yogurt early in the morning before my workout.

Perhaps you can find more ideas and recipes online?

Back when I was paying more attention to my breakfast's protein content, I would eat a slice of whole wheat toast, 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, and a cup of some kind of fruit.

Peanut butter is also a good source of protein, but don't go crazy with it. :)

You can also probably make ahead bean & cheese burritos with some salsa on whole wheat tortillas (freeze & reheat!).

I'm not vegan, or even vegetarian. I love eggs and yogurt, but a girl can only eat so much of them. emoticon

What are some OTHER high protein breakfast options? I don't have any allergies and cook for myself, so send ideas my way!
