Hey :)
My name is Meredith. I just turned 18 but have worked at losing weight ever since I was old enough to care. I don't know if 200 lbs. is obese... but I sure as hell feel like it. Though my entire family is overweight, my bro and dad don't care enough to try and my mom is to busy to put the effort. I need someone who can motivate me and someone to motivate myself. I'd really appreciate keeping in touch :)

Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!

Let's be frank:

I am obese.
I am less than 30 years old.
I have tried, and failed at this 100+ times.
I have zero outside support.
I have zero self-discipline.

I have TONS of motivation.
I NEED to find others who feel the same way I do.

I am in desperate need of finding folks like me, who need a small group of like-minded individuals who can help each other and keep each other accountable. And the key phrase: NOT give up on each other. I fail when others fail to notice how I'm doing. I fail when I'm the only one watching out for me... On the other hand, I'm REALLY good at keeping other people accountable, and watching out for others... does that make sense?

I'm looking for a few folks who have a LOT (100+ lbs) of weight to lose and need friends to keep them pumped throughout the process.. If this sounds like you, let's be SparkFriends.. or Spark Teammates.. or whatever :)

I've tried SparkTeams in the past and I find that there are so many people in them that there's no personal communication --- Huddles go out to the whole team because people need the points, not because they really want to support each other... Is there anyone out there who really REALLY needs a support partner in crime? I sure as hell do. I can't do this by myself... and I really need to do this.

I'm ready.. willing... able to lose 100+ pounds... but I need a buddy (or two or three) to do it with because I just have no discipline to do it on my own.

Dear buddy, are you out there?
