It's a fairly unusual goal around here, but essentially the same thing; be fit, strong, and healthy, right?
I have a friend who wants to be a firefighter and plays ice hockey in a league, and cries a lot about not being able to get "bigger legs." It sounds insane to us chubby people. But it's no less legitimate, and it's unfair that people don't understand that "your legs are so skinny I don't even know how you stand up" isn't a compliment! It's horrible for her.
Welcome to Spark...not sure if I have any advice for this since most of us are trying to lose...lol but maybe if you go to the spark articles you may find something there...

Hi there! So, I am doing the opposite of most of you on here, I'm trying to GAIN 10-15 pounds this winter, weight I can actually keep on (I usually gain 5 in the winter, lose it in the summer naturally) and feel better about myself. This is hard for me, I have an overactive thyroid, so I have the metabolism of your average hummingbird. Every site I've looked at is for losing weight, WebMD actually wouldn't allow me to create a profile, because I'm underweight It's not that I'm a skeleton, I have muscles! I have a job that requires me to pick up and carry 70+ lb dogs on a regular basis, hold still dog heads that are exerting 20 pounds of force trying to move away, and I do this with ease! Just last night my mother asked me to bring in a 25 lb bag of dog food and I carried it, in one arm, surprised at how light it felt. But I have basically no body fat, and the muscles I have built are very toned, so they don't LOOK like much. Hopefully I can get some insight and new ideas here, cuz the next time I have some stranger joke about how skinny I am, I won't be able to hold back the tears.
