Hello and Welcome to Sparks!

Although each person has different goals, you're in great company here. The amount of support and community at Sparks is unlike any other website. (Trust me, I've tried them all!) emoticon

If there is any way that I can help you along your journey, just let me know! I'm always here for friends in need.

Irish smiles,

emoticon I will also suggest you check out the start up guide if you haven't already. Sugar addiction is something lots of us deal with and there's lots of help here on Spark.

I think the nutrition tracker is one of the most useful tools here on Spark. It's important too that the changes you make in eating are ones you can live with. You don't want to lose and gain back but you can train your taste buds to accept healthier eating. I no longer use a salt shaker and we don't eat much for processed foods (my husband has celiac disease so we had to give them up). I also remind myself of my experience with instant oatmeal. I used to always eat the maple and brown sugar packets. One day my husband brought the lower sugar variety. I hated it but ate it because I couldn't see the money go to waste. When I finished and bought a regular version, I hated it. Now I just eat the lower sugar.

Welcome! No need to be nervous. This is a very supportive place.

Kellie is right, the start up guide will get you going. And like her, you can drop by my page and I will be glad to help if I can.

Every one is different, and there are lots of starting points. I also like Spark coaching.

So again, emoticon Toni

Hi everyone, I'm Ellie, 40 something yr old.
Here I go again, still on my search for a healthy way of life that will keep my weight stable, I'll be glad of the support, been on an extreme diet and lost 3.5 stone, reached my goal weight, as soon as I started eating put 1.5 stone back in a matter of weeks!! Feel really stressed about everything, and now having sugar cravings, seem to have noooo will power at all. Still working my way round this site, looks good and I look forward to making new friends and learning. Any tips about stopping the carbs/sugar craving welcome.
