Hi! I'm back. I thought I took a little break but gosh it's been since last august! Luckily I'm the same weight (well I gained 5 but took that off over the last two weeks). But still - I'm so much heavier than I want to be. I would really LOVE to lose 100 lbs. I could stand to lose more like 140 but just that 100 lbs thing makes me feel like it's a whopping number! I do pretty well at first then loose my focus (I'm an emotional eater). Maybe we can help each other. I am trying to get more physically active. To be honest it's hard and painful! I went swimming today for the second time this week. I'm sore! took some advil. Starting slowly but pushing myself. My friend is encouraging me to do a class but I'm worried I will hurt myself, so I'm doing baby steps. I'm also really trying to not snack at night and to eat smaller portions. I did have a fried spring roll at lunch but then the rest of the day has been healthy (grilled, salad dinner). I don't count calories per se but I'm aware of them and sort of add them up in my head. But still that doesn't alway mean a great choice. I ordered a footlong subway yesterday (wheat tho) planning to save half for later, I LOOKED UP the calories (500 in the bread alone!) AND STILL ATE THE SECOND HALF, albeit an hour later. but over all I'm doing way better than I was a month ago.

Hi Tammy,
My name is Kathy. I am 50 years old and I need to lose 73 lbs. I have thyroid problems and take medication for that. We are among many people with the same problems as us. Our goal is to lose the weight and support each other so if you are having a problem just email me and I will lend my support as best I can. Best of luck to you. We are all in this together one day at a time.

Hi! I'm in the same boat. I think you are making a move in the right direction. And sometimes all we need is that little boost from someone, that little voice that says, "why don't you go for a run", or "How about a long walk, a bike ride, a swim". I'm the kind of person that needs a loud voice saying, "Don't eat that!!" lol. Good luck to you, we are all hear to help and support. We are all trying to reach a goal, and it helps to have people to back us up! emoticon

Tammy, I hope you are working with a doc and dealing with the cholesterol and BP. I've gotten off cholesterol meds as I've got healthier, but it was good to be on the meds until I got better.

Serious support is here, Tammy! First, TRACK EVERYTHING!

Next- create your Sparkpage; it allows others to friend you and offer more personal support. Make sure you let me know when you have it done!

Also, check out teams under communities above. You can find others in your geographical area, those who share similar hobbies, have similar health situations, etc.

Now, pull up a chair and grab a bottle of water and look around!
