I really like Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker Cookbook. It has real recipes, not recipes that consist of adding canned soup to meat or vegetables. I highly recommend it.

You can easily adapt many regular (non-crock pot) recipes to be cooked in a crock pot, and vice versa. Stews, soups, and chilis are the easiest to adapt.

I recently made an Eggplant and Chickpea Strew recipe that was delicious. I cooked it on the stove instead of in a crock pot, but the original recipe is written for a crock pot. Here it is if you're interested:

You can cook all types of beans, stews, soups, greens and there's a new you one you can cook ribs in the crockpot. Look up the recipe on this site to give you more ideas.

Good luck on your new job.

Keep up the good work.

search for crockpot 265 on google. She has a ton of great crock pot recipes and you can judge for yourself what kind of food you're wanting from what she has available.

Hello everyone! I started a new job as a Correctional officer ( prison guard ) and I am at work from around 6am and I dont get home till around 5pm. We cant really bring much in the prison in the way of food because we dont want the inmates to get it, and we also have a ton of roaches so yeah. I need some super healthy ideas for crock pot meals for the whole family that I can prepare the night before!
