Hashi person here too. I just turned 52 yesterday and I could just cry. I have been trying to lose 40 lbs forever and no progress. I am gluten free and that didn't seem to do what it did for the other lady (sorry didn't remember your name).
Frustration with doctors is maddening.....literally I think they are causing my depression with the yo-yo adjustments to my meds. I am a very goal oriented, never give up person and I just cannot seem to find a way to live with the hasti and this weight. I WANT MYSELF BACK!
There used to be a hashi group, where did it go? I was a member and now its gone from my list. LORD help me, I am desperate. Thanks for listening. Blessings to you all.
I, too have Hashimoto's, and glucose intolerance (same problems as diabetes), due to my immune system failing after a car crash 5 years ago. I have lost 18 lbs in last 3 months, and have 12 more to go. Thanks for asking this question. I have looked at your answers to help me, as new to Sparks.

Welcome to SP! Have you tried the paleo/primal way of eating? It may be just what you need to continue an excellent weight loss and feel great at the same time. Either way, congrats on your 40 pound loss!

Hi, I would love to connect with anyone who has been diagnosed with Hashimotos and has been battling their weight because of it. I work out everyday and eat great and for a year could not lose a pound. I recently eliminated gluten from my diet and have lost 40 pounds so far.
