Thanks all for your kind words of encouragement. I have no intention of quitting. I can feel the changes aleady. Besides, my 40 yo nephew just joined SP and he would never let me live it down if I quit before he did. And he won't qiut before me because I would never let him forget it. So we are both stuck now. emoticon

Harder for me, too, between age and ms. But I still enjoy so many activities. Want to get stronger so I can carry gd longer.

Hang in there... I'm 62 and this time last year everything hurt.. walking was a chore and I missed out on doing things I wanted because I knew I'd walk so slowly.... but then SparkPeople happened. Since January I've lost over 70 pounds, I no longer hurt anywhere, I have amazing endurance, can climb stairs without crying, keep going forever, sleep better, and that's with another 50 or 60 pounds I'm continuing to lose.

I started feeling better after about the first 15 pounds were off, so hang in there and have fun on the journey. It's worth it.. you're not giving up anything, you're gaining things!

You will get back to enjoying some of those things! Take it easy though, small steps will lead to big changes. emoticon emoticon

When I was young and in my prime I was able to walk, run, ride bike and many other fun things hours on end: and never even think about it.

Now that I am 61 I am able to walk at a snails pace for a minute or two, stumble along at a fast job that equates for a run in my book, ride a bike around the block while huffing and puffing like a steam engine. Oh, and those many other "fun" things...those that I can remember at all make me cringe to even think of trying them now.

Maybe, if I manage to live through the torture I may get back to enjoying these things again.
With help SP and all the great people here I may stick with it long enough to make it.
