I see that you are new to our Sparkpeople site. Welcome!

I too encourage you to call your doctor immediately for appropriate follow up care.

This site, our members and our experts are unable to assist with suggestions since this is not a typical weight loss situation. Your needs are much greater than this site can offer.

Agreed. Because of your eating disorder, we aren't prepared nor able to responsibly address your question. You need to be working with your medical professional. 500 calories is not enough to support *anyone*, even someone very small. My 47 lb 8 year old has to eat more than that just to keep her energy up!

Please talk to both the doctor who treats your anorexia and the surgeon who did your gallbladder surgery to see what is going on - there should be no reason for you to not be able to eat normally this far out from the surgery, and only being able to eat 2 or 3 bites at a time is a definite indication that something is wrong that requires immediate medical intervention.

Please call your doctors right away, as this could be a serious issue.

I need to lose 12 lbs. I just had gall bladder surgery 3 weeks ago and have lost 21 lbs., but with 12 to go. I also have anorexia so I have to be very careful as to how much weight I lose and how fast, it is coming of pretty fast now but I am only eating maybe 500 calories a day. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could eat to get the best nutritional value when I can only eat 2 or 3 bites of food at a time? I try to eat several times a day but can only eat 2 or 3 bites, any suggestions?
