Thanks for all the advise, I do have depression that I'm taking Meds for. My job is more physical work lots of walking but I have been doing this work for 15 years. I had blood work done about 2 months ago and only thing it showed was that my cholesterol and triglycerides was very high. It did show that my thyroids was a little slow but not by very much, not enough from the dr. to worry about. I do know that I probably need more sleep. I;m going to work on sleep, eating better and exercise more.

Definitely check with your doctor. If that's all in line, be sure
1. To eat lots of fruits and veggies to be sure your micronutrients are there to do their job for all your cells which are working overtime.
2. Get 8 hours sleep.
3. Try going for a walk anyway after work. It is often energizing, clearing away the stress of the day, making a nice transition into a relaxing evening, with you ready to do much more than you thought.

Perhaps you need some blood work done? As soon as I arrive home from work I eat & go for my walk, if I sit in my comfortable chair forget it. I also put my walking shoes on right away & change into my walking clothes.However years ago when I was so tired I had blood work done I was anemic real bad. I had to get vitamin B12 shots for a year.Take care & hope you get this resolved soon. Summer is here & you are to be outside enjoying life!!!!

I would be inclined to talk with your Dr to rule out medical issues going on. Also it would be worth considering Depression. People often have it but don't realize it, and it CAN affect a person in that way. Talk with your Dr about what is going on in your life, too, because that can help him/her diagnose. Of course, that doesn't mean that you can't look for reasons yourself!

Check out what and how much you eat.

* Are you getting enough protein from animal sources?

* Do you eat very little or no red meat?

* Do you eat plenty of fruit and veges?

* Do you eat enough calories?

* Do you eat enough Carbs - especially whole-grains etc. (not processed sources)

* Do you eat ALL your meals and possibly some healthy snacks?

* Do you go to bed early enough to re-energize?

* Do you get out in the fresh air?

* Are you doing too much?

I hope that that is food for thought while waiting for your appointment with your Dr.

OASIS CholestPrevent Pineapple / tropical fruits. :)
Take your vitamins.
Get more sleep. Exercise more.
What sort of work do you do? (Are you physically tired, or is your brain tired?)
Eat healthier. No junk food. No sugar/artificial additives. If you can detox from caffeine, it might be a worthwhile endeavour.
[I would personally recommend trying the Virgin Diet, but as long as you seem to be getting the proper amount of things like protein etc., you probably don't need to try it unless you want to.]
Maybe you're having a negative reaction to wheat or dairy?
Make sure you are actually getting enough calories (don't under-eat just to lose weight—you'll do better to eat a decent amount of calories and exercise to lose the weight).
And I echo the "consult your doctor." Better safe than sorry. :)

You should definitely talk with your doctor about this.

I have Hypothyroidism and I feel tired a lot of the time. My dosage of my Thyroid medicine is changed frequently. Eventually they will get mine right.

Your Physician will be able to narrow down what your problem is. It may not be your Thyroid, it could be something totally different.

I was feeling sluggish today so my afternoon break I took a brisk walk for 10 minutes. It really gave me the energy I needed to get through the day.

There are so many reasons a person might experience low energy... from poor sleep to stress or depression to hypothyroidism.... what you really want to do is make an appointment with your doctor, go in and explain what you're experiencing, get it checked out!!! There's no need to go through life too-tired-to-experience life... but before you can find relief you have to know what is the cause...

What can I do to get my energy up? I work full time and when I get home I'm to tired to do anything and I shouldn't feel this way. even on weekends I feel the same way. My house needs a lot of attention but to tired, need something to get my energy levels up.
