Hello and Welcome to SparkPeople!

I started Sparking in June of 2007. By using Spark and some self discovery along the way, I'm down 50 pounds, and am holding steady at a healthy weight. Spark is a massive site, you'll be discovering new and exciting things for months to come!

Welcome Back!
Starting out with small goals makes it less overwhelming. A little exercise is better than none.
And as you already know being active on your Spark Teams is great way to stay motivated and accountable. Plus, members are so helpful and supportive.

You can do this! Best of luck!

Hello all. I am back for another go around. I had a lot of luck back in 2009 on here, and was on a very small but active group (if anyone has one that I could join, id be gratetful)

My story is... that basically things got out of control and I didnt realize it. I eat a lot of fast food because I am on the go a lot, and I work the night shift. Ive been trying to cut back for a while, and eliminated pop which has been huge. But i still have a weakness for Better Made popcorn, cheese, Mcdoubles, and a couple of other things. I am a Police Dispatcher, and it goes without saying that there is always something sweet to eat at work.

This winter has been tough. Its been so cold i feel like i have hibernated. I had a funeral to attend last week and i went to put my (already) fat suit on and it didnt fit. I had to buy another one. Standing around made my knees, ankles, and back hurt. I was afraid of sitting in certain chairs. I was constantly adjusting my pants and shirt. I was afraid to go to dinner with family or friends because i fear squeezing into a booth. I dont like to go in anyone elses car because I dont fit. Im tired of it!

I started my new plan yesterday. Its going to be a tough road, but I am committed! I used to be comfortable going anywhere and doing anything, now i just spend time by myself or with my dogs. Sometimes i even think my girlfriend is embarassed to introduce me to her friends.

I am looking forward to this group, Sparkpeople was good to me in the past, and I know it will be again!
