Just curious, do most of you have the one with a stand or the one that attaches to the wall?

Awesome! I have a whiteboard right in front of my treadmill that tracks my progress from day to day, and month to month. It is super effective! I'm glad to see so many other people can relate! :D

Yes, I just have a piece of paper on my mirror and that is so helpful!

Visual reminders and motivators are really helpful to me too. Whenever I find a saying or a motivating picture, I print it out large and tape it up somewhere prominent in the kitchen. A whiteboard is a good example of the same.

Got the whiteboard on my list...gonna get it this weekend and find a great place to put it at home!!

White board is good idea. You can also use those markers on your mirrors. I like to write on my bathroom mirror. Motivation or measurements.

Seems like a small thing, a white board, but I have found it makes a huge difference for my tracking of food. It is right beside my computer. Also if I read something I want to follow up on, I can quickly make the notation on the white board.

I absolutel love my whiteboard!

I write my goals for the month on the board and the strategy I plan on using to accomplish my goals. The board sits right across from the chair that I sit in so I'm more conscious of my goals. Good investment.

I, too, make a list the night before of what I need to do or accomplish the next day. I even put a notepad beside the bed, so when I wake up during the night and have something on my mind I can write it down. If I don't complete my list that same day then I put put it on the next day's list. Eventally it will all get done. I also stop at around 3:00pm each day because the rest of the day and evening are for ME.

That make sense about closing out Microsoft. I white board would definitely be a good and big reminder! I may borrow that idea!! I like to record five successes for the day and one big goal for tomorrow...thanks for sharing!!

nice purchase. I am so stoked to hear that you did that. You sure can put your goals in plain site. Great luck in this. Go get what you want. It is a place to write some motivations on too.

If you go to your Sparkpage there is a button for viewing your recent posts.

I write down a list of things to accomplish for the day or week on paper and cross things off as I do them. I just add things to the list as I think of them. I include things like exercise, homeschooling my dd, menu planning, taking a bath and household chores. I don't need to write everything I plan to do down but it helps me to focus on the things I care most about doing that day/week when I see it listed. It feels good to see things get crossed off.

Thanks Mandie, but I can only access activity feeds from there. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong but I can't see my own forum posts there. Also, Frances, yes I used to use spreadsheets as well for certain things. emoticon Perhaps they work very well for you, but with me I can often just procrastinate on the computer. Having a big whiteboard staring me in the face I figured would motivate me a little more than a spreadsheet which I can shoo away by closing MS Office with a single click.

Great Question! I have a spreadsheet with times from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. in 30 minute increments...I put what I want to accomplish, eat, etc during on those times and stick to it! Let us know how it goes!

To find your own posts, go to My Trackers and then Start.

After you choose Start your recent posts will appear in the far right hand column.

I've been in a pretty rough spot for the past month, but I have decided that I should get something started now and on a whim purchased a whiteboard. The thing is, I'm uncertain about what to write on it. I've split each day into eight different slots, pretty much in an effort to beat my procrastination. So, my question to you is if you have created some kind of action plan or timetable, what has motivated you? I have a lot of time on my hands as I am currently unemployed, you see.

p.s. Is there any way to search your own posts? I couldn't find an option.
