I would like to piggy back on Ianvaria's comment and just say, portion control, portion control. Buy individual packages and work them into meeting your goals.
And welcome, welcome! This is the place to go after what you really want in life, and I am betting as you get going on the Spark path, chips will not be the biggest thing anymore!!!

I am replying because I love chips- potato, corn, whatever. Also cheese straws, nuts, popcorn, etc. I buy myself an individual package every week or two and only eat them as a car passenger out for a ride with my husband. Sounds strange but that way I can have them but don't have to look at them in the pantry every day. I don't miss them. I know they are still out there for me.
Hello and welcome to the Sp family you've made a healthy and wise decision to come and join us....I would suggest that you not purchase the things that you crave...I know that's hard to do...but instead stock your fridge and pantry with fresh fruits and veggies...healthier items that you can go to when you have a craving that's what I do...I also go for the good old cold glass of water....drink and drink and drink...until I no longer have the thought or craving anymore....maybe someone one else can give you more suggestions these are just some of the things that I do when I crave that chocolate...lol

Wonderful start, look up teams who crave snacks and get the scoop from them. I just let hubby eat it all while ai stay far away and eat healthy. I am loosing weight while he is not. Before I get started I wanted to clean out my potato chips that I love. I also wanted to make sure I had several days of menus set up and the ingredients to make everything. So 9/11/13 is the day I start. My main problem is sticking with a new way of eating. I always crave things like chips or salty things. How do others do this to not give in or to curb a craving? I myself struggle with this every time I try to start a new way of healthy eating. I am good for about a week then I start to want what I know is not healthy.
