I used Hal Higdon's plan for the first half I trained for in 2010. I am actually gearing up to run the same race for the 5th time next Sunday. And the run group I partake in follows his plans as well. He offers a couple novice versions. Here's the link:

I used Jeff galloway's finish upright plan. You can find the schedule on Rundisney.com , though I do not think any of them start that far out.

I've been running here and there however I have no speed and the maximum I did was 10k run. Now I want to take it a step further and start training for a half marathon which will be in November 14th. so I have a little over 6 months to get ready for it. Does anyone have a training schedule they personally used and would recommend? I really want to be ready for it and really looking forward !
