Listen to the lectures from Richard Bernstein M.D. on YouTube as he wrote "The Diabetes Solution" He has had Type 1 diabetes since he was 12 and he is a healthy 78 now. He says ALL obese people will get Type 2 diabetes with time, if they don't change their habits. He says ALL obese people have Insulin Resistance. I learned so much from reading his book, that I got at the library.
Also, watch the BBC documentary "THE MEN WHO MADE US FAT" on YouTube. It tells why we crave junk food.
Maybe you're craving them so much because you're ONLY having that in your coffee. What if you have another treat later on in the day, like a cookie or banana bread? There's lots of recipes for calorie-reduced baked goods you can bake. There's even this recipe I found for sugarless apple cookies, I made them and they were good. They were only sweetened with honey and apples and dates- diabetic friendly too!

Very hard to get my body not to crave the processed sugars. I think it will take about a week to "not" crave them....it is so tempting. I know just by cutting out the processed sugars I can lose weight....but I have to have my creamer in my coffee - that is my treat. I feel if you deprive yourself, you will only crave it more. Quantity is the secret - It's ok to have a little here & there.
