I used Sparkpeople back in 2004/2005 and successfully lost 45 lbs. Unfortunately, marriage, two kids and one diagnosis of hypothyroidism later, and I've gained it all back...plus 10. Unfortunately, since the hypothyroidism diagnosis, I've had a heck of a time losing weight at all. My doctor assures me that my medication dosage is correct, and I have stopped gaining rapidly, as I was before I started the meds, so I'm going to have to find a way to lose it on my own. I'm also looking ahead to my 30th birthday this year, and I really want to be healthier for that. So, while I'd love to lose 30-50 lbs, I'm going to try not to obsess about the number on the scale and just stick to keeping my calories in check and exercising 30-45 minutes every day. Is anyone else dealing with a thyroid condition that makes it hard to lose? Any tips?
