Where do you find the energy burned when working outdoors? Seems to me that most of the exercise I find here is for urban people. I'm tending six acres pretty much single-handed. The digging, climbing trees, pruning trees, hauling wood, taking, cutting turf, planting, building new gardens, etc are fantastic workouts, both cardio and toning/building muscle. But I have to meander around the internets to find anything remotely like the work I'm doing. It takes a while to add these exercises and I find myself just picking something mildly similar instead of adding exercises.
I do love working outdoors. I'll never work out in a gym again. It's much nicer here, and the work is never-ending. :')

So glad to hear that someone else enjoys yard work and gardening. My main thing is flowers only a few veges. I do walk about 3-4 times a week, have a good neighborhood for this. Certainly agree with you about exercise videos, I just don't do well with them.
If you look on the Spark Points for exercise you will see you can get 120 minutes each day for gardening, yard work, or heavy cleaning, so make sure to get your points for the "exercise" you do.

I know I'm not alone in my reaction to regular exercise. From the Jane Fonda program that promoted no pain no gain....to the Flash Dance workouts in leg warmers and matching tards....I NEVER got the endorphin rush you read about....I always had a painful stitch in my side after the cardio workouts....and the most frustrating part was I never lost weight of saw the body toning rewards touted in the magazines. So working in the yard and house cleaning are my fitness choice. Walking is good when I have somewhere to go from point A to point B.So the point of my post is I choose to move everyday ...in some form or fashion...I'm not going to beat myself up if I don't try to do the things that flash through the fitness videos I couldn't do at 20....it ain't happened at 60... so the weeds are calling me....it is going to be in the 90's and sunny ...it should be a beautiful day to enjoy God's creation.
