You'll be fine! Just be mindful of what you more than ever it is important to track your food. Your wedding is so close! Enjoy it!

2lbs is such a teeny tiny weight gain it could have just been some small water changes, it doesn't mean that you're doing anything wrong. I'm having an out of town wedding too, and it's difficult.. when I get nervous I try to exercise it out, I can think better while I'm moving - and the time flies by too! Barely even know how long I've been at it :)

That's what I was thinking of last night. A rush alterations fee would be even more stress! So you are right - focus on maintaining. I think I will up my ST though.

And I was so distraught yesterday I didn't specify anything in my post! I have seen the church in pictures. The pastor sent them to me, but I have not seen the community center. I am from a very small town in the middle of a forest, growing up my family never went to church and when I was 15 we moved closer to the 'city'. The community center was built after I left. But we chose to have the wedding in the small hometown for a few reasons. Its free (but we will be donating to each) and also because my brother is finally coming home on the 22nd - he has been gone for a few years now actually and it just means a lot to me to have my wedding back where we all grew up with close friends and family. Things will all come together. We know what we are doing for the most part its just actually getting the decorations once we come home after Christmas.

I was so stressed out yesterday - thank you for reading my vent and for replying! It helped me regain my focus and calm!

One thing to be mindful of is that your alterations are done and your wedding is in a month. I would focus purely on maintenance. With only 4 weeks to go, 4-8 lbs would be the most you could lose in a healthy way, but you don't want to have to worry about having emergency alterations done which will cost you an additional arm & leg on top of the arm & leg you lost the first time around.

For the church and the hall, how did you pick them if you've never seen them? Do they have photos online at all? Or can someon you know in your hometown go and take photos for you to email them back to you??

Hey all!

My wedding is January 21st!! I am picking up my dress from alterations on the 28th (woot) but I want to loose weight before my big day and i can't seem to lose anything! In fact after this weekend I am up 2 pounds. I went crazy and now I feel terrible! I admit I am a stress eater and the way we are doing our wedding is a little stressful! We are having it in my hometown which is in a different state than where we live. I have never seen the inside of the church or the community center we are using so until we see them when we go home from Christmas we can't pick out definite decorations. We know what we want it to look like so that's good. Its just all kind of thrown together - he is being deployed so we had to up it by 4 months.

I just needed to vent a little. I need to stay on track. My mantra is 'wedding dress wedding dress wedding dress' I am just so discouraged and disappointed in myself for eating how I have been.

How do you deal with your stress?? Do you have a mantra?
