Using dry measuring cups is a good place to start. If thats what you have, thats what you should use. If you want more precision, then get a scale.

While a food scale will cost about $15 to 20; you can use regular measuring cups and spoons for most things. These would only cost a few dollars at most. In the food tracker many foods have an option of listing as:
1 cup
1/2 cup (.5 cup)
1/4 cup (.25 cup)
1/3 cup (.33 cup)
and by teaspoons and tablespoons.

And your goal is to be eating within your SP calorie range; not below. Going too low in calorie intake---is not better.

sometimes visuals help

cheese= i cubic inch
meat= deck of cards

and so on. Look up web sites like this to help you with the visuals.

I have been tracking food and I enjoy it. I don't measure my portions, as I don't have a scale so how do I know exactly how much I am eating? I go by what the tracker says.

I have been mostly about 200-300 sometimes less under my intake of 1220-1550. Today for example I am about 175 or so under wit ought exercise.
