I know what you mean. It is such a struggle!
Temptation is everywhere.
I know I have to always eat before I go to the store or the mall or I will buy the wrong things (always telling myself, tomorrow I will be better, always tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow)
Stay strong! We are all in this together emoticon

Food is a necessity. Just choose well.

I'm glad you have that appt. with the nutritionist!! Yes, that business about "working out when you have a craving" doesn't really cut it in the real world, but it makes good material for a magazine article. I ride an exercise bike for around 3 hrs. a day, not all at once, but, it doesn't make cravings go away. For me, drinking black coffee often instead of eating helps, but, that's just me, and it fits my lifestyle because I'm retired and home. Hopefully the nutritionist will help you find little things that work for YOU, whatever that is, may not be what works for anyone else on this board. Over time, you will find your way!!!

Thank you everyone for your advice. I do have a meeting with a nutritionist on may 1st. So I am hoping that I can learn a lot from that. I do exercise but I need to do it more. I feel like if I can just work out every time I get the craving to eat that would help a lot. But I seem to be a lot of talk and no action.

If you can, ask your doctor for referral to a dietitian, a professional person that see's you face to face and can help you figure out your daily meals, so that they suit YOU. There are rehab places, but they cost too much, and the celebs that go there wind up looking the same after a year out, anyway. Do you exercise at all, sometimes getting hyped up to enjoy exercise helps a person. Are there any groups you could join, sometimes a medical clinic has groups, where it doesn't cost too much. Motivation has to come from within, in order to work, reading and knowing are different than "doing", unfortunately. Look at all the people on the many diet and fitness web sites!!

I am a food addict too. I don't keep any trigger foods in the house, go to the grocery store hungry, and pray daily for God's help. I try and think before I buy. What do I want more, junk to eat or getting healthy. It's all about choices. You have to try and make one good choice at a time. Good luck!!

Oh boy, all I can say is become VERY active on this site. Read, read, read. For me, I found that all complex carbs, and sugar start my overeating. I have had to not eat those things or I eat too much of them. It is a gradual learning process. Many here are able to eat low cal carbs that are processed (example fiber one bars). For me they start the craving. You are very young, but not too young to start learning. Good luck on your journey.

So hey my name is Kassandra. I suffer from food addiction. If I see it I eat it. Even if I already just ate and I am full. I actually push myself to the point of being super sick.

I wanted to know if there was anyone else that suffers with this and knows what to help with it. I have tried to just avoid all the food that triggers it but it doesn't work when I am in the store and all that food is just starring me right in the face. I usually end up spending about 20 dollars per store trip on pop, ice cream, and chips and dip. Not good. Gaining 50 pounds in the past 6 months is the result of that. I would love to get help, sooner than later!

Thank you and remember keep sparking!
