If you were on the low end of the fat range before you started, that would help explain it. Fats are slower to be digested so they do add to fullness (at the price of high calories).
I wouldn't call skipping meals or extending the length of time between meals/snacks necessarily a GOOD thing. You won't get your nutritional needs met with oil, even though they do provide necessary nutrients.
It could be that the added calories from those supplements is making you feel satisfied. Yes - flax oil and fish oil are highly caloric, even if you take them as pills. 1 tbsp of flax oil is around 100 calories and there are a bit more calories in 1 tbsp of fish oil.

I have never used suppliments or fish oils- I eat the real deal fish wish and the correct plate mechanics of food, this mastering skill keeps me satisified..

I haven't tried the supplements, but I have noticed that when I substitute flaxseed in for eggs when I bake that I get full.
I recently found out that I have ocular rosacea and my doctor recommended I start taking fish oil and flaxseed oil supplements to deal with my rosacea and eye dryness. The weird part is, and I've only been taking them for about 5 days (2000mg of fish oil and 1200 mg of flaxseed oil, both twice daily) I have NOT been hungry!
I used to eat enough food for a family of four and the other day I couldn't even finish my breakfast AND I SKIPPED lunch! I cannot even tell you the last time I skipped a meal, because I don't think it's ever happened! I'm not snacking between meals either. I'm not intentionally doing it, I'm just not hungry. I feel like I've stumbled upon the diet world's best kept secret! My sister started taking them today as well due to my ravings so I'm interested to see if she's affected like this. Has anyone experienced this when taking these supplements?
