I love the Chobani yogurts and although the ones with fruit have lots of sugar, none of it is from additives. It seems to come directly from the fruit and the yogurt. I usually buy the plain ones, add a splenda and eat with fresh fruit

Even plain yogurt naturally contains a sugar called lactose, fyi. For example I had a plain Fage yogurt with a banana for snack today and the yogurt alone contained 8g of sugar. That sugar is from lactose.

I love the plain mixed with some chopped up dried fruit. I agree the fruit ones are too sugary and often too sweet for my taste. I've been eating plain for so long it tastes normal to me.

I almost always buy the plain stuff for the same reason. The fruit flavored ones are tasty but too sweet for me most of the time.

One thing to keep in mind though, is that some of the sugar in yogurt comes from lactose in the milk the yogurt's made from. Out of curiosity, I just looked up plain and vanilla greek yogurt in the nutrition tracker. Plain has 6g of sugar per 6 oz while vanilla has 11g (so 5g of "added sugar").

It is really hard to find any kind of yogurt out there that isn't a sugar bomb. So many people see that 0% fat label on the front and assume that it is healthy for you!

I finally had to resort to looking for yogurt for diabetics even though I am not even close to diabetic, just so I can find yogurt that isn't just candy in a cup.

I choose to never eat any of the flavored yogurts, even if they are greek. The sugar content in any of them is much too high and they taste way too sweet too. I always just eat it plain- higher protein, lower sugar and amazing tangy taste. So my advice is to avoid the flavored yogurts at all costs, and also to not add extra calories by not adding honey or fruit yourself

So I've finally gotten around to trying the Chobani yogurts. I wasnt a big fan of the vanilla, but the peach tasted great! I love the high protein, but I'm wondering about the sugar content, do you guys find it high?

I know I can buy plain and mix fruits in, I actually had the plain as my "sour cream" on my chicken tacos last night, but when I'm at work having the fruit mixed in for me is an additional help.
