Thanks to all of you! I like the idea of making small goals for myself. This week I'm going to focus on nutrition and drinking water and start with the 10-minute challenge. I'm also going to try and stay positive!

Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time.

A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

1. Put together your own Spark page. This is a great way to communicate with other members and build relationships that will support and motivate you. You can do this by going to the START page and the green section has something about your Sparkpage.

2. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

3. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!

Hi! I'm a 38-year-old mother of three. My weight has fluctuated between 115-160 over the years. 115 was TOO skinny and 125-130 is about just right for me. I maintained at between 120-125 for the past three years and II have sort of "accidentally" gained about 20lbs in the last 6 months. I'm having an awful time of it because my clothes are all too small and I feel like I have let myself go.

I'm working to correct a combination of bad habits - alcohol, ice cream, eating out to 'treat' myself, eating too much, etc. I'm a vegetarian and I used to be great at counting calories, but lately I eat too much and my overall nutrition is terrible (I'm a cheese-atarian). I'm going to try the meal plans - I love how nutritionally sound they are and how you can print out the grocery list to make things easier. I think it's time I started taking better care of myself.

I'm still not sold on exercise though - it's strange, but exercise makes me so hungry I gain weight rather than lose it. I'll probably do the absolute minimum - 20 minute walks every day - for starters at least. Wish me luck!
