Congratulations! I am working at breaking one right now. I was doing the same thing. Had pretty much stopped strength training and wasn't really tracking everything I ate. Back on track though so we will see how it goes.

There are some great articles on Spark regarding breaking plateaus etc. Congrats on breaking yours. Take a look at the articles as they have great information on preventing it happening again.

Thanks for sharing your story. I need to do the same thing. I haven't really abandoned my plan ... but I have been quite as vigilent with my eating as I should be. Hopefully your story can inspire me to get back on track.

I hope to break mine soon too! I was in the 120's for half a second and then bounced right back up into the 130's.

Plateaus are the absolute worst part of this process!

Started my weight loss journey on Jan 2, 2013 and was doing well, kept motivated but by the end of May my weight just stopped dropping. Even though I thought I was doing everything right I really wasn't. I had stopped going to the gym as often, my workouts were mediocre and I wasn't being very honest with my food intake. I was really frustrated at myself which only made me make the wrong choices with food. Luckily I was only fluctuating approx. 2-3 lbs with weight gain. So last Saturday I pledged to get back on track with a vengeance! I kept to my calorie allotment all week and really amped up my workout. Added more weight to my strength training and it paid off! I broke out of the 140's and for the 1st time in 7 yrs I am in the 130's!! So needless to say I am very motivated again.
