Joyencar 83, I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!!! Your current stats are where I USED to be and am desperately trying to get back to, and yes, IT IS HARD, but my new motto is "you can only take one step at a time, so take ONE STEP AT A TIME!!" I don't know any other way to say this, and I hope I don't offend anyone who reads this; God only gives you what He KNOWS you can bear, so tie a knot in the rope, hold on tight, and say "Ok, God, help me do this!!!" It works!!! I've been on my journey for a long time, too, but, I've not been as successful as I can be because I was trying to do it the wrong way. I'm learning that there WILL be times that you HAVE TO give in to that urge to binge, but you also HAVE TO forgive yourself for it; YOU'RE ONLY HUMAN!!!!! Remember, ONE DAY AT A TIME, ONE STEP AT A TIME!!!
Because your body mass index is in the healthy zone, you will probably have trouble losing pounds. But my guess is that you don't really care about pounds. People just talk about pounds because they are easy to measure. But the scale doesn't care how you look in a bathing suit or how your favorite jeans fit.
So what's important to you? What do you want to lose the weight for? Maybe you should change your goal. Instead of measuring pounds, measure your waist or hips, if you want to look good in a new suit. Or you may want to count binge free days, if you are trying to get control of your diet. Or you might want to measure exercise minutes if you are trying to strengthen and tone. Or you might want to focus on your nutrients if you are trying to be healthier.

Ask yourself, am I going to let a binge stop me? I understand how disappointed and guilty one can feel after a binge. I've been through it. But you have to learn from mistakes, right? Sometimes I think I or anyone else could send you all the support and encouragement in the world, but something deep within has to awaken within you and fuel you. I know that's not the easy answer, but do some serious soul searching and forgiveness. Work on your confidence and focus on eating healthy...like Archimedes said, if you have to take it one day at a time then do that. But it must become habit for you to succeed.

I give all new members one piece of advice and it's this,"Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality". If the only healthy thing you did for yourself today was drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction.
Keep in mind that the closer a person gets to a healthy weight for their height, the harder and longer it take to lose those last few. Ask any member trying to lose those last 5-10 pounds and they'll tell you it's slow going. So, don't beat yourself up because the weight isn't coming off as fast as you'd like. Someone who is morbidly obese could safely lose 1-2 pounds per week. Because you have less to lose, you might lose 1 pound a month. And that's no assured either.
What to do ? You need to be patient with yourself and your body. Don't try to be perfect. You don't have to be perfect to be healthy, but you do have to eat right to the best of your ability as well as be mindful of your portions. This is not a diet. If you want to take the weight off and keep it off, you have to reform your eating habits. Because if you don't start eating right now, you'll end up gaining later.
However, try not to worry about that. Instead, take baby steps literally and figuratively. Have you read any of the great Spark articles on nutrition ? If not, start there. start reading some of the articles. they'll help you learn to eat more healthfully. For now, start with something simple. How about doing your best to eat more servings of fresh fruit and veggies each day as well as trying to drink more water. Just doing those two things will help you become healthier inside and out.
