When I ran a thrift store for a local nonprofit, we found we could not size clothes because our donations were new to 30 years old and sizes had changed so much to make them irrelevant.

Just compare current sizes to see your size go down as you lose weight. Or choose a few favorite clothing pieces that are tight and celebrate when you can wear them!!

Congrats on your success to date!!!

that's just vanity sizing through the years. instead of numbers that correspond to the actual size of the garment, it's a 6, 12, 20, whatever. which means that they can size them up [or down] arbitrarily so that more people get to be in the size they want. which is what they have done again and again. so it's not you, i promise.

Hi there!
My name is Diane and I understand and sympathize with you. I am between sizes and it is frustrating at times. But don't be discouraged. Think of all the good progress you have made! Be Blessed with that! You are doing wonderful and you can finish this race! c
Continue to keep your eye on the prize and you will see that you are stronger than you think you could ever be. Frustration is nothing but wasted energy. Think of where YOU are right now.and how far you've come! Bravo! Bravo Indeed!

I hear ya on that one......I put my bikini on a hanger and put it up in my bedroom as a reminder of what one of my goals was. So I do like your idea about those jeans. Go get this..............You can do it............!

I hate when that happens! I have a favorite pair of jeans that started looking a little rough, so I went and bought another pair just like them. They were the same size, color and cut. Same brand. And the new ones were so tight and short in the leg that I had to take them back! I'm pretty darn short, so for me to have highwaters is no easy feat. emoticon

I run into that problem often too.

on the bright side, I kept one of those pairs of pants because I liked them so much. And now I can wear them! Actually, they are starting to get a little lose.

DANG, I hate when that happens. I have a two pairs of jeans just like that. One fits fine and the other i would need to have liposuction to fit into. Same with some skirts. The exact same skirt just in different colors.

I have a dream size, but its a secret yet because I have to make myself truly believe i can get back to it.

Was going through my closet and trying on some of my old clothes. The to big ones I place in a bag for the Goodwill. But So many of the same size slacks/jeans fit or are to small! All the same exact size and Brand! Fustrating! They are the same brand and size I am wearing now! Some are to tight! Sooo, took a deep breath, took control of that feeling of wanting to give up and grab a bag of junk and stuff my mouth with it. I kept the small jeans/slacks hanging a pair on my bedroom doorknob with a note attached on the hanger saying..I WILL WEAR THESE in bold letters..In time I will.
