I love Pinterest. I spend waaay too much time looking at recipes there. Not all are healthy low calorie, but you can get ideas from those and make them healthier.

I just found a great website:

This site has thousands of recipes and you can access them according to how you want to eat (weight loss; low fat; vegetarian; food allergies; specific nutrients and vitamins/minerals etc). It gives nutritional breakdowns and calories, preparation time, shopping lists. There is an advanced search option that is awesome.

How about this website...i've found excellent recipes from Chef Meg and other members!

This is amazing - thanks. I think I've made some recipes from all of the sites below. Remember, as you get used to cooking and making your own food you'll be able to trim down and "healthify" even the most unhealthy recipe so don't write certain sites or recipes off completely (yet).

Nice selection of sites to chose from! Thank you!!!

10/4/12 5:31 P is a great site. It has an "advanced search" option where you can be very specific as to what type of recipe you are looking for, including just a general "low calorie" and "healthy"

I love It was named Recipezaar before Food Network bought them out. There are lots of recipes there posted by everyday people with a star rating system. It is my go to site.

Hi I am a newbie just browsing through the site. I am starting with a obtainable goal so that I don't get discouraged. And once that is reached I will continue on!! Looking for some great recipes that I can cook for my family and myself.

Also I'm a devout Pinterester also. I do all my meal planning on there, and write little reviews of the recipes I make after I've tried them. Here's my board of recipes I've actually tried and liked:

I cook primarily off of websites/blogs. Here's my favorites:

For actual "healthy" recipes: (this is probably my #1 favorite for healthy recipes)

^^These two provide nutritional values and WW points on all the recipes She is a south beacher and former caterer.. she has a lot of great flavorful/different recipes, especially for vegetables. This is a blog of a Sparker (although I don't think she's really active here anymore). She is an advocate of clean eating, and has lots of good "healthy lifestyle" stuff too. This is where all the Cooking Light recipes are kept.

For regular stuff, which you can usually alter to make healthier (I take the time to put the recipes in the recipe builder to see what the layout is):

http://traceysculinaryadventures.blogspo (a lot of the recipes here aren't bad at all) (a lot of the recipes here are healthy too, especially the asian ones. The cost per meal is pretty low as well (hence the name)) (a lot of recipes here involve cream etc that is easy to sub out for greek yogurt or milk, but a lot of them are one skillet, easy weeknight type recipes) (again, not the healthiest but you can make substitutions)

http:// (the recipes here are mixed, the ones labeled healthy have the nutritional information provided)

I also cook from Martha Stewart's site, and from Real Simple's site.

I LOVE PIoneer Woman - but they're not healthy recipes. I can usually alter them to make them healthier though.

I'm addicted to I've tried some recipes...white bean Turkey chili with pumpkin was off the chain. Tomorrow I'm trying the Greek salad sandwich. She's awesome for healthy recipes.

I also love all for crockpot recipes. Tasteofhome and cooking light are good too.

I like to go on Pinterest and get my recipes. You have to be careful though because some of the not so healthy ones catch your eye...I'm guilty on that one but I have made some awesome healthy breakfasts off of there like baked oatmeal...aaamaaazing!

Thank you, I'll have to check it out! One site that I visit often for Weight Watcher recipes is I'm hoping to find more recipe sites that provide good recipes like that.

This site is good for recipes. I also love It's not necessarily low calorie, but there's plenty of low cal/ low fat recipes on there. Bonus, you can search by ingredients you have on hand.

Do you have any favorite websites that you can/would like to share for lo-cal recipes? I'm trying to get a nice collection going so I can prepare healthier meals.
