2 lbs sirloin, cut into thin 2" strips garlic powder 1 beef boullion 1/4 c hot water 1 tbl cornstarch 1/2 c onion, chopped 14.5 oz stewed tomato 3 tbl soy sauce (I use low sodium) 1 tsp sugar 2 lg bell peppers, chopped
Sprinkle sirloin with garlic powder and put in bottom of slow cooker. Mix boullion and cornstarch with water and add to pot. Add everything else but peppers.
Cook on high 2-3 hours or low 5 hours. Add peppers during the last hour or two so they don't get mushy.
Serve with rice or noodles.

I put chicken breasts in the crockpot and pour a jar of salsa over them. it is really good
found this great recipe for Tex-Mex chicken in a crock pot: 1 lb. boneless chicken breasts cut into 3/4 in.strips 2 T. dry taco seasoning 2 T. Flour 1 green pepper cut into strips 1 red pepper cut into strips 1 c. frozen corn 1 1/2 c. chunky salsa Toss chicken with seasoning and flour in slow cooker. Stir in veggies and salsa. Cook on low 6-8 hrs or high 3-4 hrs (I did 1 hr. at high and then low for 5 hrs.) Also, I added extra tomato sauce/picante after the 1 hr. as it seemed dry. Serve in bowls w/tortilla strips. Really good. I suppose your could increase all ing. appropriatley?

I love to make a 3 bean chili.
grab 3 cans of whatever kinds of beans and dump them in the crock pot add some veggie stock to cover the beans can of rotel tomato chili powder cumin cayenne pepper sea salt black pepper chopped onions
I'm not a measurer on this one. I just toss stuff in til it tastes right. more kick in the winter, less in the summer. really easy and can't be messed up. if you like it thicker, mash up about 1/2 c. of the beans and stir them in. We eat it over rice with cheese/vegan nacho cheese
Here are a few of the many things I put into my crockpot. . .
1. Pork & Sauerkraut -- any of the cheaper cuts of pork will do because with hours of cooking, they are tenderized by the acid in the kraut and succulent with the moisture of slow cooking!
2. Soups of all sorts, especially bean soups that just get better when they simmer all day!
3. Ribs -- not diet food but great when slow cooked. The trick is to cut the slabs into portions that fit into your crockpot and use tin-foil to build a separation rack so that each mini-slab has it's own space to cook in -- YUMMY!
Hope you will find lots of new ways to enjoy your meals without heating the whole kitchen this summer!

Have you been to this blog. She used only a crock pot for a year to make meals. I found tons of ideas.
1 package of Italian sausage ( 6 or 7 links in a pack ) 1 red pepper cut into strips 1 green pepper cut into strips 2 cloves garlic chopped 1 tablespoon Italian seasonings 1 jar your favorite pasta sauce
Place sausage on bottom of crockpot Cover with peppers, onion and garlic and seasonings Then pour the jar of sauce on top of it all. Cook on low 6 hours. Serve with pasta
I am looking for a few new crock pot recipes to try. I love cooking using my crock pot but starting to get bored with the same few meals. I tend to make pulled pork, pulled chicken, or soups...all of which is starting to get boring. Need new ideas!
