If this is one of your biggest issues, you want to use Fast Break goals to get you started with strategies to help you tackle it down the road. Here is the Fast Break intention.

The Fast Break Stage is a springboard that gives more power to the other three SparkDiet Stages. Just a little prep and practice give you a head start without the need for manic, life-altering changes. This Stage has three main purposes:

Create momentum before tackling “heavier” dieting Stages.
Build confidence and the knowledge that you can “make this dieting thing work.”
Allow you to get used to your dieting and website surroundings without pressure.

So perhaps setting a goal of only having portion controlled snacks in the evening is a good starting point. This helps you learn the correct portions of healthier options. Another goal is that all portion controlled snacks are served on a plate or bowl. This allows you to have and enjoy a snack and when it is done, it is done. This reinforces healthy snacking principles and once the habit is established, mindless eating isn't possible because you have learned to only enjoy portion controlled snacks. This article will provide more on this approach.

I'm on Day 2 of my free trial of Spark Coach. After watching SparkGuy's video about choosing small, easy goals for fast break, I'm wondering if I picked a goal that is too challenging. One I picked no was no mindless eating in the evening. That is probably one of my biggest challenges in this healthy living journey. Should I really challenge myself with this goal - or pick something else?
