Great job on exercising!

You should not be in that type of pain after BodyPump. Because of the fibromyalgia and hearing that it flaired up, you may want to consider reducing the weight on your bar at least by a little. You want it to be a challenging amount of weight, but not where it is causing you pain beyond muscle soreness. You may even want to talk with your BodyPump instructor to see what they might recommend for you. They know how much weight is recommended in general, but let them know you have fibromyalgia and how you had a flair up after the workout where it kept you in bed for quite some time. They may be able to offer some more advice on how much weight you can try on your bar in the next class.

I have recently really started to exercise in the past three weeks or so. I am wondering what others do for fitness with fibromyalgia. I usually do the elliptical for 30 to 45 minutes and then 15 to 20 minutes on the treadmill with arm weight machines at low weights in the middle. I went to a class at Gold's Gym yesterday with my friend, Body Pump, and oh MAN am I sore today. It actually flaired my fibro up today and I was unable to get out of bed until about 10:00 am. I'm moving around now, and will go back tomorrow to do cardio and Body Pump again, but should I use less weight on my bar or go with the same? My husband says to not go backward and stay with what I was lifting yesterday, but my friend says it wouldn't hurt to go down a few pounds. Any ideas?
