Thanks so much for the pointers! I purchased a "fancy" watch over a year ago that tracks all kinds of things, so it sounds like I should probably review how to use it (it seemed a bit complicated). I'll check into the apps as well.

I have a free App on my Android called "Calories Burned" -- it lists a lot of DVD workouts, such as Jillian Michaels and more...I use this to calculate my calories burned to record it here on far as selecting the exercise itself here on Spark I choose whatever seems the closest to the workout I did. It would be nice if popular DVD workouts were listed here!

While the SP fitness section has quite a few entries, it doesn't have a listing for every single exercise or exercise DVD out there. So, you have to do the best you can.

You could put it under aerobics - general (low or high impact depends on the type of workout).
There is a listing for cardio dancing if this is a DVD like Zumba. There's a boot camp listing that you could use for more strength type of workouts. If it's like the 30 Day Shred, use circuit training for now.

This isn't an exact science. You make the best guess-timate you can.

I wonder if there is some simple way I haven't figured out yet for entering exercise I do with dvds. I have several I like to use for variety, but I'm puzzled about how to accurately record this on SP. I'd appreciate some help.
