When I was meeting with the sleep doctor today he wanted to know what questions I have. My main question is what is making me so tired. I'm doing a sleep study next week. So, I'll know soon if my sleep quality is part of the problem.

I know that it does sound counter intuitive to exercise when I'm so exhausted and I can now push myself to walk. When this first started, there was no way that I could. I was so weak. I am regaining strength, I may still be tired, but not the feeling like I have no bones.

Vitamin D deficiency certainly does not explain that level of tiredness. Keep exploring and pushing for answers.

I know that it seems counterintuitive, but the more you execise, the more energy you will have. Push yourself, force yourself, have a coffee first...but get moving on some sort of regular basis.

I'm going in for the initial consult at the sleep clinic this afternoon. My energy is slowing coming back, some days better then others. Still pretty tired though.

I think you should check with another doctor, it seems that there may be another issue. .. If typing and clicking a mouse get you tired, then something else might be that problem.. Good Luck wish you well..

As a child, I had a phosphorous and vitamin D deficiency. I took supplements. As an adult, I'm very short and often tired and achy.

This is obviously individualized, but I've found that being active has really improved my energy levels. Even when I'm tired, exercising helps.

I hope you find a plan that works for you. :)

What about your iron level? Did your doctor test your iron level? A low iron level can cause you to feel tired.

Forgot to add that she wants me to get some natural vitamin d by sitting outside in the early morning sunlight for 5-10 min. It's been cloudy the last couple of weeks & when it's not cloudy, I'm floating in my pool.

She's insisting that the borderline high cholesterol and Vitamin D deficiency is why I'm so tired. She wants me to walk 30 min. each & every day. Hah, some days getting out of bed & staying out of bed is enough! I told her that I sleep 10-11 hours each night.

She then wanted to know if it was good quality sleep. Well, I do wake up tired some mornings. Some mornings I have a headache.

So, she's sending me to a sleep specialist. I can't get into the one she recommended until next month. I really don't want to wait that long, so I'm looking for a different sleep clinic.

I agree you should discuss this further with your doctor. It sounds like there could be other things going on besides just a Vitamin D deficiency.

Yes, she is. It's just so frustrating not having the energy to do something one day & then the next day be full of energy.

I would take this up with your doctor, who I presume is addressing the vitamin D deficiency?

I've recently been diagnosed with low Vitamin D levels and my cholesterol levels are elevated. My dr. wants me to exercise more, but honestly there are some days that I have no energy. By no energy I mean nothing. I can be sitting & feel like I have no bones in my body. Typing takes a lot of energy & so does simply clicking a mouse. All I want to do is sleep. The next day, I have a lot of energy, sometimes almost to the point that I'm hyper & can't sit still!

I also have no appetite. I have more appetite when I have energy. Any thoughts?
