At times of stress and loss we crave calorie-dense foods. That's what our bodies are designed to do. Don't beat yourself up. You have sadness in your life that you have to deal with.

Maybe you can try some other comfort foods. Soup is really comforting and is often lower in calories than other options. Tea helps, too.

Try to exercise, if you can. It helps release endorphins, which may make you feel better. And also may give you time to think things through.

Every member of Spark has gone through something similar. We're all experts at gaining, losing and regaining the weight. That was the past. We can't change the past, but we can influence and change the future.

I give all new members one piece of advice and it's this,"Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality". If the only healthy thing you did for yourself today was drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction.

Good health doesn't have to be all or nothing. Every little bit really does make a difference. Whenever you feel stressed out, post on the forums. the Spark community will support you when you need it.

When I started living a healthy lifestyle in 2011. I could not image the pitfall of life would stand in my way of achieving weight loss success. However, I did succeed and lost more than 40 pounds. I am very proud of this achievement. Then life took a turn leaving me very emotional, unhappy and sad. But I continued to exercise, but not the six days that I had been doing. I cut back to 4 days, then 3, then 1. I craved sweets a menu item I rarely ate, some how I found myself wanting something sweet daily. Being an emotional eater can at times become difficult. How did this happen. A entity came into my life, which could have been good, but in the end it wasn't. I had to admit to myself, it wasn't a good thing to have this person back in my life. Prayerful I will stay on track with my living a healthy and happy lifestyle. I am sure there will be other situations that may cause me to become side track, hopefully, with the Sparks family support I will be ok.
