I harvested my onions today - been taking them from the garden and using them for a couple of weeks. I am eating tomatoes everyday from my green house. Next year we plan on growing some more veggies.

What I don't have in mine I can find at the farmer's market.

This is the first time in 7 years I've not had a garden...the temps were just too high after day of 90+ degrees and also 100.

I stop by the Farmers Market to replenish my stock.

oh yes, eating, giving to others, canning, freezing...the garden did well after all, all the watering twice a day during the extreme heat months paid of and the rain that we finally got did too.

I just picked a big bowl of green and purple beans. keeps me busy for sure emoticon

Not mine, but from the farmers market. Cucumbers, tomatoes, beets, green beans and fingerling potatoes!

O yes. It has been a good year for growing and harvesting. It needed more watering than usual but the results are fantastic.

I would have to have a green house. My dogs and cat would get to the garden and eat it all.

And before anything is said, they also try to get on the counter, so that is out.

Every year we try something different. This year was roma matos!!! Man were they good!! Sweet too! My son and I eat them with pretty much everything! He's 13 and decided one morning to cut some up and toss in olive oil to sizzle up! I was shocked!! First, he's never up for breakfast, and second he's a worry wort about cooking! I had so many I started to not be able to use them all! Until of course avacados came into the picture! We would cut all that up, mash and just eat right out of the bowl!
But, alas, all good things come to an end....mato season almost done...;(

Yup, but we didn't get much rain this year so my plants are a little stingy. Have tons of raspberries though, second yield. Still getting strawberries and tomatoes; yellow, red and cherry. I also have brussel sprouts that should be ready mid-fall.
