Congrats on your hard work so far! I think it depends on where you usually lose the most weight. For me, 10-15 lbs would translate to 1 dress size, so I think it could totally work for you. I wouldn't be doing chest strength moves, though. Lots of push ups tend to make my chest bigger. Just cardio it out like you have been and you will do great!
So I've lost 13.5 pounds already! (Only 5.5 more and I'm officially no longer overweight weight!) I'm training for a half-marathon so I'm running about 20+ miles a week and generally feeling great! I'm in the best shape of my life, and I have 8 more weeks of race training ahead of me.
Here's my problem: My dress is too small. (Cue minor freak out.) It fits like a glove everywhere else, but the chest area is 1-1.5 inches too small. I'm very busty, so this isn't exactly a surprise. I was between sizes, and I figured since I was losing weight I'd save myself the $$ at the tailor by ordering the smaller of the 2 sizes. (Don't be me! Just get the larger size!)
I know you can't spot reduce, but I'm wondering if you guys think I'll be able to lose the inches by the wedding (10 weeks away). I don't really know anything about how pounds translate to inches, but I figure I will easily lose another 10-15 pounds by the wedding, with this running schedule and diet. I know everyone is different, but how much weight on average is an inch around the chest?
I'd prefer not to have the dress taken out, only to have it taken back in, but I also don't want to get married in a dress that is too small.
Any chest-area exercise tips? What would you do, if you were me, re: a tailor? Any general consolation?
