Yeah, if you don't eat a diet high in added sugar, the sugar in one of those things will destroy you. I get what I call a "sugar hangover" now that I limit my added sugar. If I eat too much sweets even if there's no alcohol involved. Feels *exactly* like a hangover from drinking.

My best advice would be watch your carbs today. Try to stick to veggies and a little bit of fruit to keep your blood sugar even and taper off with each meal. Drink lots of water and as much as it probably sucks right now, see if you can do a bit of light-moderate cardio.

Someone had a post about this earlier in the week ....drinking causes dehydration and that's why some people get headaches and symptoms of feeling run over by a bus.

Tomato juice helps and rehydrating with lots of water or high water veggies will also help.

Hope you feel better soon.

Those types of drinks are SO sugary and calorie-laden. Drink up with your water today and try and get your workout in even later in the day. It will help you to feel better! There are ways you can still enjoy cocktails without all of those calories and sugar too.

I was doing really well all week, staying within my calorie range...until yesterday. I went over my range by about 500 with a piƱa colada. I woke up this morning like I was hit by a bus!! I wasn't anywhere near being a little drunk...but woke up with what feels like a bad hangover!! I've felt great all week, up until today. Now I feel let down because I went over, I don't want to work out, and feel as groggy as could be. This taught me a great lesson: drinking will only hurt my efforts and I will end up paying for it the next day. Unfortunately, I'm sure this won't be the last time. emoticon
