I believe so. I used to struggle to drink even 42oz a day, and most of that was juices or chrystal light type stuff. I just hated water! But since I started running and getting serious about my diet, I've worked up to a gallon and a half to sometimes even two gallons a day. I find that on the days I drink more, the more I go to the bathroom and the faster it all seems to move through my system, and I become RIDICULOUSLY thirsty even though I've already had a gallon or so.
I'm not a doctor, but my theory is that it just speeds everything up and then you pee it all out and your body is just like, "ok! cmon, let's drink some more! YAY water!!"
I agree with Brit...get an A1 C test to see where your blood sugar levels are. Also if you are on any medications it can be a side effect of that as well.

I don't have dry mouth, but I do crave water. I actually have never drank soft drinks so water has always been my go to beverage. I think you may want to make sure its not some of your medications or something else going on!
i used to have this problem too, but since switching most every one of my beverages to water my body has adjusted and now i no longer have that problem. have you just recently started on water? if so perservere a little. if not maybe seek prossesional advice

How's your blood sugar level? Several of my diabetic/pre-diabetic friends complain of this.
I'm not trying to be an alarmist! it's just the first thing that sprang to mind.
