Unfortunately, yes. DH smokes like a freight train and every time I quit he willing quits smoking in the house for a few hours. Then he starts up again. He wont smoke around me for a day or two but then he quits that also. My FIL is here for three weeks and I'm not smoking around him so have cut back to half a pack a day - I would like to quit before he leaves because DH is not smoking so much in the house. Wish me luck and courage and strength.
Unfortunately yes... My plan is to quit. I have been researching quiting, and I have a plan. If I can make it through the first 3 days.. But I plan on getting support from my kids. They have been wanting me to quit.. I just hope they can handle the moodiness.

I quit smoking 4 1/2 years ago after spending 3 weeks in the hospital recovering from open heart surgery. The surgery was because of a genetic condition that would have required surgery whether or not I smoked. I would have healed much faster after the surgery had I not smoked. Smoking makes it harder for scars to heal and my breathing was terrible after the anesthesia.
